Spray Carnations   SPRAY CARNATIONS

Carnations are most likely native to the Mediterranean region but its exact origins are unknown due to extensive cultivation for the last 2,000 years. The original natural flower was a bright pinkish purple but the large range of hybrids developed have assured that this is now available in a wide variety of colours.

Spray Carnations are a variation of Large Carnations with slightly smaller flowers and also there will be a few flowers growing from each stem.

 
 Greenery   GREENERY

The term Greenery typically refers to any foliage of a plant that is live or freshly cut.

With the enormous diversity of fresh flowers available this means that there is also a huge variety of foliages, depending upon your requirements, for example the fronds of various ferns, the typical sheath leaves to be found in grasses or the needle type leaves of conifers to name but a few.

Anthurium is large species of flower, found mostly in wet tropical rainforests of Central and South America and some species have been introduced into Asian rainforests.

These have a long vase life of approx six weeks and are available in a large variety of colours. Anthurium are known widely for their brightly coloured flowers and ornamental leaves.

Gerbera is a species of ornamental flower belonging to the sunflower family. It is the fifth most used cut flower in the world and the variety that we see today are mainly hybrids.

It comes in many different shapes and sizes and a large range of colours with many of the flowers having a black centre.

 
 Alstromeria   ALSTROMERIA

Alstromeria, also known as the Peruvian Lily or Lily of the Incas, a South American flowering plant with approximately 50 separate species.

Many hybrids have been developed in a variety of colours ranging from white, golden yellow, orange, apricot, pink, red, lavender and a variety of colours in between.

 
 Calla Lily   CALLA LILY

Calla Lily, also known as the Arum Lily a mainly ornamental flower with approximately 28 separate species.

They come in many shades of colour ranging from the ever popular white Calla Lily to shades of yellow, orange, red and purple.
